"welcome to l.a.x.," the loud voice overhead boomed as gabriella walked off her plane. she wanted to be anywhere but america but she had a role in the remake of the movie carrie. she was excited for her new good girl role, except for the fact that she was away from daniel, her fiance. she was sick of the kind-of-friends-but-maybe-something-more relationship she had with logan, so she packed up and moved to london with their son without telling him.she met daniel the day she arrived. he was her neighbor at the time and had a girlfriend who despised gabriella the moment she met her. luckily, daniel broke it off with the girlfriend a week later. gabriella reached her hand out to her son, his light, sea foam green eyes peering at her. his eyes always reminded her of logan's. the boy's blond hair, though, was all on her side. he wanted to come along and see his old home. finally, when she was done going through a million long lines, gabi drove to her old home -- in the same neighborhood as logan. oh, was he going to be mad at her. she left him without his son and no idea where he was. sure, she felt bad about it, but she had to move and get her love life going. she was twenty-four and wanted to settle down and get married, not flirt and occasionally kiss her friend (though she did enjoy it at times). she pushed these thoughts away as she climbed out of her car and wobbled up to the front door of her empty, old home. a mumbled of wishes along the lines of 'please don't see me' or 'please think it's a new person moving in' made their way onto her lips. her wishes would most likely not happen since her bubbly son was making noises (loud noises) that sounded like giggles. he was giggling about nothing. he always giggled about nothing. that was one thing gabi loved about her son -- he was such a happy person and always smiled and laughed. in a rush, she jammed the key into the door, ran to the car, grabbed skye and their bags, and locked the car. she let out a breath, probably completing these tasks in thirty seconds flat. skye let out a squeal as he reached out to the banister of the stairs, almost crashing into them. "oh, baby," gabriella mumbled, staring at her son with tired eyes.
